A meeting was held at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia with the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Setsuko Kawahara.
At this first and exceptionally pleasant meeting, the President of the Chamber, Branko Azeski, and Ambassador Kawahara discussed the great potential for economic cooperation between Macedonia and Japan, with an emphasis on establishing new opportunities in the fields of technology, food, energy, mineral resources, and more.
They also agreed that the Economic Chamber would make its capacities available to further intensify cooperation between Macedonian and Japanese companies in the upcoming period.
An additional opportunity was offered to Japanese companies through the WB6 Chamber Investment Forum, as a platform for cooperation between Japan and the Western Balkan countries.
At this year’s global event, the Osaka Expo 2025, which will be held from April to October, Macedonia will have its own representation, along with several member companies of the Economic Chamber.
President Azeski wished Ambassador Kawahara a successful diplomatic mission and expressed confidence that the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries would continue, with greater intensity on the economic front.
