On 18 December 2025, the constitutive session of Business Club Europe was held at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia. The Club is a newly established advisory body for issues of importance to the business community that have a direct impact on the country’s strategic goal — integration into the European Union and progress in the accession negotiation process.
Business Club Europe was formed at the initiative of the Chamber’s President, Branko Azeski, with the aim of providing a structured platform for dialogue and coordination between the business community, academia, relevant stakeholders in the EU integration processes, and diplomatic representatives of European countries. The main focus of the Club’s activities is on issues related to the European Union, the integration of the Macedonian economy into European processes, EU diplomacy, and policy-making toward the EU from the perspective of the business community. The Club will also function as an effective instrument for providing feedback from the business community to the European Commission, and will operate as a project activity within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network.
“The establishment of the Europe Business Club represents a clear commitment by the Economic Chamber to actively and substantively involve the Macedonian economy in the process of EU integration. Our goal is for the business community to have a strong, coordinated, and recognizable voice in shaping national positions in the accession negotiations and in communication with the institutions of the European Union. At the same time, within the scope of its activities, the Business Club Europe will organize roundtables, debate forums, informational, promotional, and networking events, with the aim of promoting the EU accession process and strengthening the role of business in that process,” said the President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski.
The Europe Business Club has 17 members — prominent representatives from the Macedonian business sector, the academic community, and experts in the field of EU integration. Through its work, the Club will contribute to monitoring the course of accession negotiations, preparing opinions, guidelines, and position papers, representing the interests of the business community before the institutions of the European Union, as well as enhancing public and media visibility of the EU agenda within the economy. At the constitutive session, Gligor Cvetanov, General Director of Makprogres DOO Vinica, was elected President of Business Club Europe.
With the establishment and holding of the constitutive session of the Business Club Europe, the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia strengthens its role as an active and relevant partner in the process of EU integration and as the voice of the Macedonian economy at the European level.
