Through a joint initiative with the Government, the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD, and local commercial banks, EIB Global has supported 120 companies by financing 150 green projects — ranging from solar panels and energy-efficiency upgrades to advanced recycling technologies.

These efforts not only reduce emissions and contribute to climate action, but also create jobs and strengthen the local economy.

The EIB 7 Credit Line provides loans for:

-       Permanent working capital to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in meeting ongoing liquidity needs, at an annual interest rate of up to 3.5%.

-       Investments for SMEs, at an annual interest rate of up to 3.5% for end beneficiaries.

-       Mid-cap companies (medium-market-capitalization firms) to finance projects in knowledge-based industries, energy, environment, industry, tourism, healthcare, education, services, and the green transition, also at an annual interest rate of up to 3.5% for end beneficiaries.

The total value of this credit line is €100 million.
