BALKAN CHAMBERS NETWORK IN HUNTING OF INVESTMENTS - Promoted the PARTNERS 2 Project that in the current and in the next year will be realized in cooperation with Eurochambres

In the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro on June 10th,2008 was held the first meeting of the national coordinators on the occasion of the promotion of the Project for promotion of investments in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro “Partners 2”. The project is initiated and prepared by Eurochambres, and financed within the Regional KARDS- Programme for 2005. With this meeting, indeed, started the realization of the Project, with duration of 18 months and value in amount of € 1.180.000. The Agreement is concluded between the European Commission and Eurochambres on May 15th, 2009 which especially indicates the European Commission interest for the Project and successfulness in the realization of the goals.  (more)

PRESPA REGION AS INVESTMENT DESTINATION - Economic Chamber of Macedonia a bearer of the Regional Project for Attraction of Foreign Investments with support of Eurochambres

The Economic Chamber of Macedonia, Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania and Trieste Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Resen Municipality, have determined the components of the Project “Prespa Region as Investment Destination” (24.11.2008). Components of this Project are: creation of Prespa Lake as regional brand, establishment of cross-border Apple Cluster and categorization of private longings on Albanian side of the lake. The Project will be supported by Agencies for the foreign investments promotion in Macedonia and in Albania, as well as by the Union of Hellenic Chambers. (more)

SUPPORT AND ATTRACTION OF INVESTMENTS IN THE REGION  - Promoted the 8 partnerships among the members of Eurochambres – the Western Balkan Chambers and the EU countries

In Belgrade on 4th and 5th December 2008 the Western Balkan chambers presented their partnership projects for attraction of foreign investments, which, will be realized in the next 18 months, with the partner-chambers from the EU member-states. The Partners II Project within the Eurochambres, financed by EU, will support the business communities from Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia to influence over the upgrading of the foreign investments attraction. To choose this project subject influenced the fact that Western Balkan is a market of 150 million consumers and the nearness to the EU borders with competent and cheap labour force, having also into consideration that investment potential is insufficiently utilized. According to IMF, in Bosnia and Herzegovina the index of investment potentials utilization is only 18 percent. Neither country in the region could commend with better situation.  (more)
